Fixed Deposit Account

A Fixed Deposit (FD) is a secure investment option offered by banks, allowing customers to deposit a lump sum for a specified period, ranging from 45 days to 20 years, at a fixed interest rate. It provides high returns, with rates varying by tenure. While funds are locked until maturity, early withdrawal is allowed in emergencies, subject to a 1% reduction in the maturity interest rate for the completed period.
